Pastor Alicia Johnson, a native of Georgia is the oldest of three children born to Gladys and the late Ulysses Harvey.  She began serving in the church at the young age of five and was baptized in 1979 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Albany, GA.  The call to ministry was placed on Alicia’s heart early and she was always trying to serve others.  This call led her to attend Darton College, now Albany State University after high school, receiving her Nursing Degree in 1989.

Her service in church and to others continued for many years and in July 2008, at New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, under the leadership of Pastor Vinson E. Royal, she answered the Lord’s call on her life to preach the Gospel.  Her initial sermon was preached, and she was licensed in January 2009. God led her to further her education and she attended Columbia Theological Seminary where she received her Master of Divinity in May 2014.  Pastor Johnson was guided in her pastoral duties by Pastor Frederick Caldwell of Grace Community Fellowship Church in Atlanta, the late Pastor Obbie Burns of New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, and Pastor Clarence Hampton of First Baptist Church of Stewardship in Atlanta.  In 2021, Pastor Johnson answered the call of God when Pastor E. L. Myles, formerly of Christ Cornerstone Missionary Baptist in Detroit asked her to be the Executive Pastor of the church plant, New Life Fellowship Church in Snellville.

Alicia will let you know that her journey has been blessed and ordained by God.  Nothing has been done by her alone.  She has found strength over the years in her favorite Scripture, Isaiah 40:31 “But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”

In August 1992, she married Mark Johnson of Chicago, IL.  Their union has been blessed by God with two beautiful children, Marcus Jay and Marissa Janay.
